The client felt that because their kitchen was poorly designed, crowded, and dark, they were not enjoying their space the way they could be. The designers at Kitchen Studio removed the soffits, took the cabinets to the ceiling, and knocked out the wall to the back hallway and family room to open up the space. The cabinets were finished in a ‘frosty white’ color to lighten things up. Finally, a wine cooler was added as an extra luxury for the homeowners who are connoisseurs and enjoy traveling to vineyards.

This client felt that their bathroom was stuck in the 70s with smoked glass, brown tile, linoleum and a seashell sink. Their dream bathroom?- a tranquil, spa-like space that brought in some light and the peaceful lake view out the window. Kitchen Studio: Kansas City offered a unique vision with several unexpected twists that added personality to the room. Remodeling hiccups were easily resolved along the way with creative design solutions. The client resided in their home for more than 20 years, but they loved the neighborhood too much to part with it. So, they decided to remodel and hoped to incorporate a country kitchen design style. They also entertain frequently, pressing the need for increased work space. To best serve the client’s objectives, the team removed a wall between the dining room and kitchen, opening the space up to the addition of a beautiful, functional island. Other additions included a pantry on the refrigerator wall, extra storage by the bay window and the distinctive cook top focal point of an old fire back.
